As shown in the image above, an attribute can be easily defined by entering below relevant data:

• the Name of the attribute
• a short Description if required
• If the attribute is unique for each instance of the product for example a lot number or a serial number, select the Instance Attribute checkbox.
• List flag allows to state that the attribute has a predefined list of values to be entered in the "Attribute Value" tab.

• Mandatory flag, defines the attribute as mandatory therefore it must always be specified for the product.
