Asset Group
Assets can be grouped into different categories with the aim of helping their depreciation management and analysis.
Asset Category
Asset category window allows to create and configure every asset category your organization may need.
- Organization : Organizational entity within client
- Name : A non-unique identifier for a record/document often used as a search tool.
- Description : A space to write additional related information.
- Active : A flag indicating whether this record is available for use or de-activated.
- Help/Comment : A comment that adds additional information to help users work with fields.
- Depreciate : The asset is used internally and will be depreciated
- Depreciation Type : Depreciation Type
- Calculate Type : Calculate type
- Annual Depreciation % : Depreciation annual %
- Amortize : Asset schedule
- Usable Life - Years : Years of the usable life of the asset
- Usable Life - Months : Months of the usable life of the asset
- Every Month is 30 Days : When calculating the amortization plan every month will be considered as a 30 day month.
- Owned : The asset is owned by the organization
- Client : Client for this installation.
- Asset Category : A classification of assets based on similar characteristics.
Accounting
Each asset category allows to configure a different set of accounts to use to post asset depreciation.
- General Ledger : The book containing all financial transactions recorded for the legal entity.
- Accumulated Depreciation : Accumulated Depreciation
- Depreciation : Depreciation account
- Copy Accounts : Copy and overwrite Accounts
- Active : A flag indicating whether this record is available for use or de-activated.
- Disposal Gain : Disposal Gain
- Disposal Loss : Disposal Loss
- Organization : Organizational entity within client
- Client : Client for this installation.
- Asset Group Accounting
- Asset Category : A classification of assets based on similar characteristics.
