Client

A client is an independent entity composed of at least an organization. A client can include and manage master data such as users, customers and vendors. That master data is then shared among all the organizations which belong to that client.

Client

Client window allows to view and maintain the clients created by running the Initial Client Setup process.

  • Search Key : A fast method for finding a particular record.
  • Name : A non-unique identifier for a record/document often used as a search tool.
  • Description : A space to write additional related information.
  • Active : A flag indicating whether this record is available for use or de-activated.
  • Base Currency : Base Currency of the Client.
  • Language : A method of communication being used.
  • Multilingual Documents : Documents are Multi Lingual
  • Days To Password Expiration : Define the days that user password must be valid from previous password change
  • Mail Host : Hostname of Mail Server for SMTP and IMAP
  • SMTP Authentification : Your mail server requires Authentification
  • Request Email : EMail address to send automated mails from or receive mails for automated processing (fully qualified)
  • Request Folder : EMail folder to process incoming emails; if empty INBOX is used
  • Request User : User Name (ID) of the email owner
  • Request User Password : Password of the user name (ID) for mail processing
  • Central Maintenance : A flag indicating that this label is managed in a central repository.
  • Organization
  • Show in Header : This flag indicates whether the accounting dimension is displayed on document header tab.
  • Show in Lines : This flag indicates whether the accounting dimension is displayed on document lines tab.
  • Show in Breakdown : This flag indicates whether the accounting dimension is displayed on document break down tab.
  • Business Partner : Anyone who takes part in daily business operations by acting as a customer, employee, etc.
  • Show in Header : This flag indicates whether the accounting dimension is displayed on document header tab.
  • Show in Lines : This flag indicates whether the accounting dimension is displayed on document lines tab.
  • Show in Breakdown : This flag indicates whether the accounting dimension is displayed on document break down tab.
  • Product : An item produced by a process.
  • Show in Header : This flag indicates whether the accounting dimension is displayed on document header tab.
  • Show in Lines : This flag indicates whether the accounting dimension is displayed on document lines tab.
  • Show in Breakdown : This flag indicates whether the accounting dimension is displayed on document break down tab.
  • Project : Identifier of a project defined within the Project & Service Management module.
  • Show in Header : This flag indicates whether the accounting dimension is displayed on document header tab.
  • Show in Lines : This flag indicates whether the accounting dimension is displayed on document lines tab.
  • Show in Breakdown : This flag indicates whether the accounting dimension is displayed on document break down tab.
  • Cost Center : Division that adds to the cost of an organization
  • Show in Header : This flag indicates whether the accounting dimension is displayed on document header tab.
  • Show in Lines : This flag indicates whether the accounting dimension is displayed on document lines tab.
  • Show in Breakdown : This flag indicates whether the accounting dimension is displayed on document break down tab.
  • 1st Dimension : A display of optional elements that are previously defined for this account combination.
  • Show in Header : This flag indicates whether the accounting dimension is displayed on document header tab.
  • Show in Lines : This flag indicates whether the accounting dimension is displayed on document lines tab.
  • Show in Breakdown : This flag indicates whether the accounting dimension is displayed on document break down tab.
  • 2nd Dimension : A display of optional elements that are previously defined for this account combination.
  • Show in Header : This flag indicates whether the accounting dimension is displayed on document header tab.
  • Show in Lines : This flag indicates whether the accounting dimension is displayed on document lines tab.
  • Show in Breakdown : This flag indicates whether the accounting dimension is displayed on document break down tab.
  • Organization : Organizational entity within client

Information

Information tab allows to add, edit and maintain client generic information such as default units of measure and images.

Email Configuration

Documents such as orders or invoices can be sent out by e-mail. Email configuration tab allows to configure the email server, account and password, variables which require to be properly setup prior sending documents by email.

  • Active : A flag indicating whether this record is available for use or de-activated.

  • SMTP Authentification : Your mail server requires Authentification

  • Smtp Server Password
  • Smtp Server Sender Address : Address used to send the emails
  • Smtp Connection Security

  • Smtp Connection Timeout : Timeout used in SMTP server communication
  • Organization : Organizational entity within client

Dimensions

Dimensions tab allows to configure whether a given accounting dimension is going to be available in the header and/or in the lines of a given document category or not.

  • Document Category : A classification of document types that are shown and processed in the same window.
  • Accounting Dimension : Accounting Dimension
  • Show in Header : This flag indicates whether the accounting dimension is displayed on document header tab.
  • Show in Lines : This flag indicates whether the accounting dimension is displayed on document lines tab.
  • Show in Breakdown : This flag indicates whether the accounting dimension is displayed on document break down tab.
  • Organization : Organizational entity within client
  • Client : Client for this installation.
