Balance sheet and P&L structure Setup

Balance Sheet and P&L structure setup allows to configure the two main financial reports which are the Balance Sheet and the P&L.

Setup

Each new record in the Balance Sheet and P&L structure setup window is a report.

  • Organization : Organizational entity within client
  • General Ledger : The book containing all financial transactions recorded for the legal entity.
  • Name : A non-unique identifier for a record/document often used as a search tool.
  • Report Type : Indicates whether the report is "Point in time" (needs to calculate an opening balance if it does not exist) or a "Periodic" report (in this case that calculation is not needed)
  • Description : A space to write additional related information.
  • Balanced : A flag indicating whether this report will be balanced or not.
  • Active : A flag indicating whether this record is available for use or de-activated.
  • General Accounting Report : General Accounting Report
  • Client : Client for this installation.

Grouping category

Grouping category tab allows to define categories which groups report node/s. Each grouping category implies a page break in the report showing the defined report node/s.

  • Line No. : A line stating the position of this request in the document.
  • Name : A non-unique identifier for a record/document often used as a search tool.
  • Description : A space to write additional related information.
  • Active : A flag indicating whether this record is available for use or de-activated.
  • Organization : Organizational entity within client
  • Group : Acct Rpt Group
  • General Accounting Report : General Accounting Report
  • Client : Client for this installation.

Node

A node defines the information which is going to be shown in the report.

  • Line No. : A line stating the position of this request in the document.
  • Account Element : A identification code for an account type.
  • Name : A non-unique identifier for a record/document often used as a search tool.
  • Description : A space to write additional related information.
  • Active : A flag indicating whether this record is available for use or de-activated.
  • Organization : Organizational entity within client
  • Grouping category : Acct Rpt Group
  • Client : Client for this installation.
  • C_Acct_Rpt_Node_ID
