User

A user is an entity which can log into Openbravo whenever it has a password and at least one role assigned to it.

User

User window allows to create as many Openbravo users as required. Each person accessing Openbravo can have a different user assigned.

• Client : Client for this installation.
• Organization : Organizational entity within client
• Name : Alphanumeric identifier of the entity
• Username : User Name
• First Name : Name of the contact
• Last Name : Last name of the contact
• Password : A secret code used to allow access to a specified window or tab.
• Comments : A space to write additional related information.
• Expired Password : When this checkbox is checked, the user's password will be set as expired and the user will have to change it.
• Description : A space to write additional related information.
• Active : A flag indicating whether this record is available for use or de-activated.
• Business Partner : Anyone who takes part in daily business operations by acting as a customer, employee, etc.
• Partner Address : The location of the selected business partner.
• Email : An email address for a specified business partner.
• Locked : The user is locked and cannot log in the application
• Position : A defined job, title, or ranking within a company.
• Birthday : An anniversary of birth for a business partner.
• Phone : A telephone number for a specified business partner.
• Alternative Phone : A second contact telephone number for a business partner.
• Fax : A fax number for a specified business partner.
• Email Server Username : User Name (ID) in the Mail System
• Email Server Password : Password of your email user id
• Supervisor : Supervisor for this user - used for escalation
• Default Role : Defautl Role
• Default Language : Default Language
• Greeting : A description, often abbreviated, of how to address a business partner.
• Default Client : Default Session Client
• Last Contact Date : Date this individual was last contacted
• Default Organization : Default Organization
• Last Contact Result : A statement related to the result of the last interaction with a business partner.
• Default Warehouse : Default Warehouse
• Image : A visual picture used to describe an item.
• Last Password Update : Latest date of user password change
• User/Contact : An acquaintance to reach for information related to the business partner.
• Process Now : A request to process the respective document or task.

User Roles

Roles are the connection between users and access rights. Each user can have more than one role assigned, however a user can only log into Openbravo by using just one role.

• Role : The profile of security for the user defining what windows and tabs they can see.
• Active : A flag indicating whether this record is available for use or de-activated.
