Costing Rules
A costing rule can be applied during cost calculation. Each costing rule requires a costing algorithm and a valid from date to properly calculate the cost of material's transactions. The "Warehouse" can be configured as a dimension to take into account while calculating costs.
Costing Rule
The costing rule window allows to define and validate costing rules.
- Organization : Organizational entity within client
- Costing Algorithm
- Starting Date : A parameter stating the starting time range related to a specified request.
- Ending Date : A parameter stating the ending time range related for a specified request, query, etc.
- Warehouse Dimension
- Backdated Transactions Fixed : If checked Fix Backdated Transactions has been executed for the Costing Rule.
- Fix Backdated Transactions : Fix Backdated Transactions process
- Fix Backdated From : Starting date in the costing rule to fix backdated transactions
- Validated
- Validate Costing Rule
- Costing Rule
- Client : Client for this installation.
- Active : A flag indicating whether this record is available for use or de-activated.
Initialization
The initialization tab is a read-only tab which allows to review the "Closing" / "Opening" physical inventory created to validate a costing rule. Every time that a costing rule is validated a new record is created for each Organization and Warehouse. This record contains links to the physical inventories created.

- Warehouse : The location where products arrive to or are sent from.

- Active : A flag indicating whether this record is available for use or de-activated.
